Council for IWU Women Student Award Application
Thank you for applying for the Council for IWU Women Scholarship. Please complete this application in its entirety. Each essay must be 300 words or less. Applications that do not meet this requirement will be disqualified. All IWU students who identify as women are eligible to apply for our scholarships. Applications must be submitted online.
Please submit your application by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025

Please discuss different accomplishments in your answer to each question. Your application will be anonymous when it is judged by Council members. If you have any questions please email Director of Alumni Engagement Olivia Ruff at oruff@iwu.edu and she will direct them to the Scholarship Chair.

One tenet of the Council for IWU Women’s mission is to promote democratic citizenship in a global society, which is demonstrated by leadership and working for change within our communities. Describe a time when you demonstrated leadership and/or worked for change and the impact it had on your community or on specific individuals. (300 words or less)
Another tenet of the Council for IWU Women’s mission is to support the intellectual and personal growth of women by offering guidance and role models to the extended University community. The Council for IWU Women recognizes that the culture of advocating and supporting other women is passed through generations and learned from others that have impacted our own lives.
