In this webinar, learn the basic virology of coronaviruses and the epidemiology of the pandemic. Dr. Herrmann will provide a comparison between diagnostic and surveillance testing and also detail many additional factors relating to COVID-19, such as herd immunity, demographic characteristics, spatial distribution, fatality rates and overall mortality.

Dr. John Herrmann ’74 is a professor of epidemiology and health policy at the University of Illinois and is currently serving as Vice-Chair of the State Board of Health Members for the Illinois Department of Public Health.
